Research Activities |

The faculty members are actively engaged in conducting research on topics of social and industrial relevance. The main research fields include Applied Microbiology, Probiotics Technology, Environmental Biotechnology, Molecular Microbiology, Genome Biology, Disease Biology, Computational Biology, Plant Molecular Virology, Bioinformatics, Medical Biotechnology, Aging & Neurobiology, Food Quality & Safety, Biosensors and Nanobiotechnology etc. Since its inception, the department has produced 20 Ph.D. students. More than 100 students have cleared CSIR-UGC NET and are serving various institutesand industries in India and abroad.
